Free Ways To Stay Active

In light of the recent climate involving a large portion of the population staying home, I have created a list of things you can do every day to stay active. I recommend a minimum of 30 minutes a day of aerobic activity.


1. Go for a brisk 30 minute walk outdoors. Enjoy some time to soak up the sun! This is a great opportunity to stop and smell the roses. In the past, many people have been too busy in their daily work and life activities to go for a walk and explore their neighbourhood. You might find a nice walking path that you never noticed before.


2. Explore online fitness resources and videos. A great yoga website is www.doyogawithme.com.


3. Roll up your sleeves and do a thorough deep clean of your home. There are many free printable cleaning checklists online.




4. Routines are sometimes easier to do than trying something new everyday. Start a routine at home and perform it at the same time every day:

- 20 jumping jacks

- 20 lunges per leg

- 20 sit-ups

- 10 pushups
